EVENT TITLE: The Art of Typography – Visual Storytelling in Print

Date: Saturday, October 25, 2025
Time: 10:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: INTI EDITIONS, 2 Rue des Bernadaous, 65200 Aste

Description:

Typography is a silent yet powerful voice in every publication. This event is an exploration of the visual elements of text—the fonts, spacing, alignment, and composition that make reading possible and pleasurable. Open to both design enthusiasts and curious beginners, this day is part theory, part workshop, and fully immersive.

Morning Session (10:30 AM – 1:00 PM):

The day starts with a lecture titled “A Brief History of Type.” Participants will discover the evolution of letterforms, from ancient scripts to contemporary digital fonts. Historical examples will be displayed alongside modern adaptations. The lecture will include a focus on typeface personalities—how a font choice can suggest tone, genre, and even authority.

The next segment is titled “Designing for the Eye.” A professional typographer will demonstrate basic rules of readability and explain how typographic decisions affect reading flow and emotional impact.

Lunch Break (1:00 PM – 2:00 PM):

An informal buffet will be provided, with visual displays of famous typefaces and their stories arranged around the room.

Afternoon Workshop (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM):

The hands-on portion allows each participant to work with sample texts in InDesign or a free online layout tool. They will try out combinations of fonts, line spacing, and page formats to create short pieces of visual storytelling. Feedback will be given in small groups, and printed results can be taken home.

Conclusion:

This event is an eye-opener for anyone who has never considered typography as an art form. It reinforces INTI EDITIONS’ commitment to promoting every dimension of publishing, from the visible to the invisible.
